Once upon a time, there was a farmer who was very hardworking and determined. He worked day and night and took care of his field.

moralofstory

With full dedication, he used to sow seeds in his field, grow the crops, harvest it, and then sell it for his family’s daily livelihood. Slowly, as the years passed he earned lots of money that he bought another field, which was next to his field. Now it was a very big land to work. He couldn’t do that alone. So, he thought that now he needed someone else who would help him to do this work.

He called a few people for an interview. He asked many questions but he didn’t like any of them. He didn’t understand their answers. At last, one boy came for an interview. When the farmer asked him; “What do you know about agriculture and what can you do here?” He just replied, “I can sleep when the wind blows”. The answer was very strange for the farmer and even he couldn’t understand it, but just because of the complicated answer he decided to hire that boy for his fieldwork.

Now, that boy started working with the farmer. They both sowed seeds together, harvested the crops, and sold them. The farmer was very much relaxed after that boy started working with him.

But, one night, the farmer started searching for that boy. There was a huge storm and it was also raining.

He thought now all the crops would be destroyed and there would be a huge loss but he saw that the boy was not protecting the field or trying something, instead, he was sleeping somewhere. He shouted immediately, get up. You know it’s raining outside, you don’t know your work and you are sleeping here. The boy replied; I said already, “I can sleep when the wind blows”. The farmer said to himself, that he has gone mad, he doesn’t know what to do in which situation.

The farmer ran quickly and saw that the boy had already protected all his animals aside, tied with a rope.

And even all the crops in the field were protected properly. The boy said to the farmer, go and sleep, I have already done everything. Now the farmer understood the real meaning of his words, “I can sleep when the wind blows”.

moralofstory

Moral of the Story – It’s not necessary to work when the problem comes, prevention can be done beforehand. In the same way, if you carry an umbrella before it starts raining, then you don’t have to suffer the consequences of the rain. As it is said, ‘prevention is better than cure.
